“What is EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing?”

We are wired to heal. EMDR is a psychotherapy that relies on the brain’s natural tendency to move toward mental health. Using techniques that stimulate the brain’s information processing system, a therapist facilitates a client’s ability to heal from psychological trauma. “What is DBT or Dialectical Behavior Therapy?”

Although it was developed to treat individuals who struggle with suicidal and self harming behaviors, DBT has been shown to be effective in treating other disorders such as “substance dependence, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and eating disorders.” (see  https://behavioraltech.org/resources/faqs/dialectical-behavior-therapy-dbt/). Through both individual and group skills training sessions, clients learn mindfulness skills, how to better manage stressful events, ways to better manage strong emotions, and ways to effectively communicate their needs with others. “What is Mindfulness?”

Mindfulness is being aware in the present moment, nonjudgementally. When you practice mindfulness exercises, you develop the ability to let go of the past, stop living in the fear of the future, and enjoy the present more.

Standard Session Rates for Private Pay
Individual – $115 per 60 minute session
Initial Assessment $130 per 60 minute session
